SMALL SCALE DAIRY PROCESSOR

CONDITIONS OF ISSUE
It is a condition of issue of a dairy processor's accreditation that the applicant agrees:
1. to abide by Standard 4.2.4 of the Food Standards Code,
2. to abide by the Export Control (Milk and Milk Products) Orders 2005 if classed as an export registered dairy establishment,
3. to successfully meet audit requirements as determined by Dairysafe,
4. to periodically supply to Dairysafe such statistical information as may be required,
5. to ensure an end product testing program is implemented as per the Microbiological Testing Criteria located at www.dairy-safe.com.au
6. to advise Dairysafe in writing should any/all accreditee/s cease processing,
7. to ensure that only accredited dairy farmers supply your establishment and that they comply with Standard 4.2.4 of the Food Standards Code,
8. to ensure all accredited dairy farmers supplying the processor are tested for milk quality
9. to notify Dairysafe of the detection of human pathogenic organisms or if inhibitory substances exceed the MRL within 48 hours after the initial indication of the result. Written details of such incidents must be provided within five working days,
10. to have your milk and liquid milk products transported by an accredited dairy transport business,
11. to notify Dairysafe prior to making any significant changes to your food safety arrangement, management, personnel, premises, fixtures, fittings and equipment including heat treatment,
In addition, it is a condition of issue of a dairy processor’s accreditation that, where involved in transporting milk from South Australia to another state or territory for processing, the applicant complies with the following:
12. the processing premises to which the milk is transported must be, and remain, accredited as such by the relevant state or territory dairy authority (or equivalent body),
13. the processor must advise Dairysafe within 24 hours of:
a) any action taken by any state or territory dairy authority (or equivalent body) to suspend, cancel, revoke or vary its interstate processor's accreditation or any other accreditation relating to milk or dairy products,
b) any action taken by any state or territory dairy authority (or equivalent body) to prosecute it or any of its officers or employees for breach of dairy legislation or codes,
c) any decision to terminate or change the nature or location of its processing business or premises.
